About Intelligent Software

Intelligent Software had identified that many residential building companies were spending excessive amounts of time manually creating quotes, sales documentation and contracts for customers wanting to build their dream home.

The process would involve the consultant gathering the requirements from prospective customers and then having to reference pricing sheets, building code legislation, technical documents, fit-out options and other documents to formulate the necessary paperwork for the customer. Not only was it time consuming, it was also error prone and often created situations where a customer was under quoted.

Solution – Intelligent Software

To help solve this problem, Intelligent Software requested a web-based SaaS (software-as-a-service) be developed that would help automate much of this process and produce PDF documents instantly for the customers.

Qubisoft went through the process of understanding the business domain and requirements before rapidly developing a prototype that could be used to establish feasibility. Once approved by Intelligent Software, a fully fledged web application was developed over the course of 6 months using .NET and Angular 9 technologies. The system provided a sales consultant with an easy to use multi-step web form that instantly produced PDF documents for quotes and legal contracts.

Once the system was in place, Intelligent Software reported their customers had reduced the quoting process from 3 hours to 30 minutes. In addition, the production of complimentary sales material had been reduced from 2 hours to 15 minutes and contracts were down from 4 hours to 20 minutes. Not only had this increased the throughput, but it also allowed the employees to work on other areas of the business instead of been consumed with paperwork.
